Christen Obel, graduated as an economist from University of Copenhagen and has extensive work experience as a director or programme manager within large scale business system implementation projects. Since 2011 Christen has been a professional board member with emphasis on the philanthropic and cultural sector.
He joined the board of Det Obelske Familiefond, from 1991 as an observer and in 2005 he was appointed chairman of the foundation. Christen also is on the board of various institutions such as Musikkens Hus, Aalborg, the Utzon Foundation, Kunsten; Museum of Modern Art Aalborg, Skagens Kunstmuseer and Øregård Museum.
Christen is also active on the board of C.W.Obel A/S and various other companies.
