Biography

Norwegian Astrid Nordstad, born in 1990 is an extremely talented singer who already at a young age impresses and captivates her audience. She does not only sing a role but she also portrays widely different characters convincingly.
In her second year at the Royal Opera Academy, Copenhagen she sang Flora LA TRAVIATA in numerous performances at the Royal Opera, conducted by Pier Giorgio Morandi. She has sung excerpts from La Cenerentola - "Sin non piu mesta" in concert with orchestra under the baton of Michael Boder. Spring 2017 she will sing the title role in THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA on the Takkelloft stage at the Royal Opera, Copenhagen.
Astrid Nordstad is already much in demand as a concert singer and performs regularly in Norway and Denmark. The future holds several engagements for The Messiah and she will also sing The Mother in the Danish national romantic piece "Elverskud" by Niels W. Gade.
