Simonas Strazdas, bass

Biography

Simonas Strazdas is young and very promising Lithuanian bass singer.

He graduated from Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in 2022 (Master of Arts, Vocal Performance). He has performed Gremin (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin), Papageno (Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte) at Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater and Don Alfonso (Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte) at Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts in Helsinki.

During his studies he partially prepared roles of Colline (Puccini’s La Boheme), Surin (Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades), Count Rodolfo (La Somnambula), Banco (Verdi’s Macbeth), Raimondo (Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor).

Simonas has worked with the conductors Markus Lehtinen, Martynas Staškus, Gintaras Rinkevičius, with stage directors Vilppu Klijunen, Dalia Ibelhauptaitė, Jūratė Sodytė, and has studied with coach Kristian Attila.
