Žilvinas Steponas Miškinis

Biography

Žilvinas Steponas Miškinis born in 1995 in Vilnius, Lithuania. He is a young bass-baritone with a promising career as he is finishing his last year (summer 2020) of Master‘s degree in vocal performance at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (prof. Nadiezda Kurem).
He already had the opportunity to appear on stage in several opera productions: performed the role of Narumov at „Vilnius City Opera“ for Dalia Ibelhauptaitė‘s production of P.Tchaikovsky‘s „The Queen of Spades“ together with Asmik Grigorian, Kristian Benedikt, Kostas Smoriginas, Jurgita Adamonytė, Irena Milkevičiūtė and others, as wel as with conductors Gintaras Rinkevičius and Ričardas Šumila.

In addition, in the spring of 2019 he debuted as Figaro at the Estonian National Opera in „Le nozze di Figaro“, which was directed by Marco Gandini.

To further his vocal knowledge and experience, he participated in masterclasses with Kostas Smoriginas, Herman Keckeis, Robert Hyman, Bo Rosenkull, Barbro Marklund, Ulrika Tenstam, Martin Hellstrom, Almas Švilpa and others.

Season 2020-2022 Žilvinas Steponas Miškinis will be a member of Operastudio Staatsoper Berlin.
