Biography

Danish soprano Anna Miilmann (1996) took her studies at the Danish National Academy of Music, and later at the Danish Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen, as a student of both opera singer Henriette Bonde-Hansen and lector Eva Hess Thaysen.

Her musical journey started early on as a singer in the Danish National Girls Choir.
During her time there, Anna made her Royal Opera Debut as the soloist performing ‘I know that my redeemer liveth’ in a staged production of Händels Messiah.

Since then, Anna has been performing in several different contexts, both in the classical and crossover genre.

Anna has been used as a soloist performing with The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Concerto Copenhagen, Holmens Vocal Ensemble among others.

Further more, Anna is developing her career as a jazz and crossover singer.
She has been playing with the New York-based guitar talent Jacob Artved.
Recently, composer and musician Nikolaj Busk composed a jazz song especially for the singer herself, which she performed with The Danish Radio Big Band and Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
