Review
HÄNZEL UND GRETEL, Royal College of Music 2022
Bachtrack UK
Sofie Lund-Tonnesen was a butter-wouldn’t-melt Gretel, showing off a big gleaming soprano with some solid high notes. She seemed secure in the higher register and the lower voice was supported; there’s potential for meaty Wagnerian roles in the future. - Dominic Lowe
HÄNZEL UND GRETEL, Royal College of Music 2022
Operatoday UK
Sofie Lund-Tonnesen (Gretel) and Emma Roberts (Hansel) are absolutely credible siblings, their banter and rivalry, fears and love, both persuasive and poignant. Lund-Tonnesen’s vibrant soprano shines with Gretel’s goodness and when she quietens the grumbling Hansel, “When the need is greatest, God the Lord puts out His hand”, Father’s adage is sung with the sincerity of a Free German Youth motto. - Claire Seymour
MANUALEN, Det Kongelige Teater 2022
Information
Angina, the heartache (Sofie Lund) shows herself as an angel of light, determined and powerful, and it could be a Pietà pose of mercy that she takes at the end with the dying heart in her lap. - Valdemar Lønsted
SIEGFRIED - Den Ny Opera, Esbjerg 2022
Information
The hero's helper, the forest bird, was downright enchanting, the white-clad Sofie Lund with a white bird in her hands, a reference to Siegfried's mother, Sieglinde, appearing from far and near, chirping about battle with the woodwinds. And as such, terrifically sung by the young Danish soprano. What adventures await her when she takes off from Esbjerg. - Valdemar Lønsted
FALSTAFF, Den Ny Opera 2021
Information DK
Nannetta and Fenton are both supporting characters, but were sung as if they were the main roles. Sofie Lund and Jonathan Koppel both played and sang seductively well, she with brilliant height. - Valdemar Lønsted
ORFEO ED EURIDICE, Det Kongelige Teater 2020

Eurydikes rolle ligger hos den kønt og sikkert syngende Operaakademi-studerende Sofie Lund-Tonnesen, i øvrigt for længst professionelt placeret i forskellige partier på Det Kgl. - G. Dirckinck-Holmfeld
